Two weeks back from Deliverability Summit 2026, and the enchantment of Barcelona still lingers in our memories. If you are part of the email ecosystem and are not yet involved in these meetings, you are missing out on some great community conversations.
At events like this, team KumoMTA usually plans an evening out for a few select industry friends, but in this case, we chose to buy lunch for everyone at the conference. Do you have any idea how complicated it is to order lunch for 200 people? Whatever the cost and complication, it was very much worth having all those brilliant email minds come together over a tasty meal to share real-world experience about email deliverability.
What we heard is an industry of professionals strongly focused on respecting the inbox. We heard about making sure authentication and permissions were verified. We heard about adhering to stricter standards from mailbox providers. We heard from cybersecurity experts about the threat landscape and how to manage it. And we experienced the destruction of many email myths.
Our focus as a company has always been rooted in open communication, openness to change, and open-source code. The ideas exchanged with a talented group like this are invaluable and help build a product that is more responsive to an ever-changing industry.
Of course, it also helps to hold these events in spectacular venues like La Pedrera in Barcelona, Spain. I had never heard of St Jordi before, but having experienced April 23rd in Catalonia, I have now revived my love for stories of dragons, knights and unfortunate princesses.
